We’ve all heard it: 10,000 steps a day. Your watch buzzes, your phone nudges, and somewhere in the back of your mind you know you “should” walk more.


But is it really that powerful?


After all, you can walk in sandals, in jeans, barely break a sweat — does it even count as exercise?


Yes. Yes, it does. And here’s why:

And if you’ve got a step counter sitting in a drawer? Dust it off. It may become your new favorite motivator.
