The Amalfi Coast doesn’t just greet you — it wraps you in sunshine, salt air, and the scent of something delicious drifting from a kitchen window.

From the moment we arrived, every view looked like a postcard and every meal promised to be an event worth remembering.

This trip was all about slowing down and savoring. And what better way to do that than by rolling up my sleeves and learning to cook like a true Italian?

Cooking with Heart at Hostaria di Bacco

At Hostaria di Bacco in Furore, the kitchen is alive in a way that makes you feel instantly part of the family. Our culinary class began with fresh, simple ingredients — the kind Italians seem to effortlessly turn into magic.

We chopped, kneaded, and stirred with the guidance of chefs who treated every dish like a love letter. I learned the art of rolling dough just right, shaping it with my hands while laughter bubbled up from our group.

It wasn’t about perfection — it was about joy, and maybe sneaking a taste here and there.

From the Kitchen to the Table

There’s a special kind of pride in carrying something you made yourself to the table. When I plated up my pizza — blistered crust, bright tomato sauce, and melty cheese — I couldn’t stop smiling. It tasted like sunshine and sea air and everything I love about Italy.

And the best part? Sharing it with friends, glasses of local wine in hand, as the hills of Furore seemed to glow in the evening light.

Moments Between Meals

Of course, no Amalfi adventure is complete without time on the water. We cruised along the coastline, the colorful villages spilling down the cliffs like they’d been painted there just for us.

The sea sparkled, the wind played with our hair, and the views made you forget there was ever a to-do list waiting back home.

Why You Should Go

If the Amalfi Coast is on your bucket list, make time for a hands-on culinary experience like this one.

You won’t just take home recipes — you’ll bring back stories, laughter, and the memory of dough under your fingertips as the Mediterranean sun streams through the window.
